theres a cocky guy at our local track with a full out drag silverado who was claiming to hit 8's on his first past of the season last year. he got to the tree and launched a good 40 feet in reverse. karma is awesome!!

And he still ran a 14.8 or so?  Not horrible considering he started in reverse.

OK I know I am not good at the strip I sucked in my SI.  Have not taken the WRX yet.  I know I could not do that bad.  It least I hope never to have the blond moment.

Was that an auto TA?

Things like this confuse me, as do things like mis-shifts.  I mean, I guess I have just never been so oblivious as to have the car in the wrong gear when I was going to blast on it like that.  Well, ok, once when I first learned to drive, I was leaving my friend's house, I had my car in reverse, forgot to put it back into first, I went, and lightly backed into my friend's old-ass accord (88 or something).  I knew he wouldn't care, and I didn't really care since it was so light, but I actually ended up knocking his front bumper off and drove away without knowing.  I was a little ADD back then.  Does that count?

I think he was trying to get into the staging area, then he just left in in reverse.  I bet it was an auto.

Thanks for the clarification on the times. I'm not a 1/4 mile guy.

yah, that's happened to me, at least me being the person behind.  It's always some huge suv.  Happened at least twice so far, hopefully that's the end of it.
