Congratulations DirtyD, you're the biggest fool on the site!! Absolutely nothing wrong with being a fool for the right person though, as long as you got to keep the car. Good thing it's not a coupe!  I'm really looking forward to this month, should be a fun one. We're going to be doing pet themed photos this month. The rule is the pictures MUST have a pet and your car in it, or for the daring; a pet in your car! I really think we'll get some great submissions this month! We got some very interesting submissions this month! I thought the wedding picture was very good, though small! I PMed him to see if we can get a full res version. I'm really curious to see how the votes turn out. All these pictures are so different! One thing great about our Subaru's is that at the core they are an economy car. Some would cringe at the thought, but to me it means you actually get to drive it and parts are super cheap since they're shared with the base Impreza! I've been hacking away at my center console for my radio setup without regret, I'm sure that piece will be easy to come by if I ever decide to go back to OEM. Back on topic, I think May is going to be a really great month for the contest. Winter is over and everyone's cars are oh so freshly waxed and clean. New parts are installed that have been in hibernation over winter and it's driving season! For May we're going to do pets. Sooo if you don't have one, get one. Suberblue wins again! Seems like a lot of people really like your car man! I have to admit it's super clean. I'm really glad I got off my lazy butt and got on my lazy butt and started helping out with the POTM contest again. We've got a lot of content under our belts. I'm thinking of sending a letter to SOA or Drive Magazine to see if they'd like to do something with it. What do you guys think? The theme for April 2012 will be "Fools".Criteria of the Month: Fools Submissions must have a 3rd Gen Subaru Impreza in it. One submission per person. As much photo editing as you wish! 2008 wrx wide body conversion
this is what happens when its costs more to trade a car in then to build what ya want .so i took the jump and got all factory 2011 wrx panels installed and here it is at the start of process its now about 75% done.

Seems as though everyone is busy enjoying the great summer, er, spring weather this month! We did get a handful of submissions though. If you haven't yet this is the perfect time to wash the winter off and get your car nicely waxed up. Don't forget to check your undercarriage! I found some pretty nasty buildup directly behind the front wheels on mine, even with mudflaps. As you know this kind of stuff turns into rust, so if you're off the beaten path often, it's a good idea to keep an eye on everything! Also if you're due to change your cabin air filter I would suggest it. I recently changed mine and since it hadn't been replaced since the car was new it was pretty nasty! I haven't been around lately, but plan to be putting effort into the photo contest again. We've had some really great work in my absence! I really appreciate everyone's involvement, especially from the moderator team! Is anyone still interested in me doing another youtube slideshow? I have a ton ... |
